Tips and Trick compilations - Composition "Rule of Thirds"

May 28, 2020

Evening People!

It's been another busy week here, I mean, you must be tired of hearing this to start out with for sure! This week I've spend a bunch of my time working on some preparations for the site for some exciting upcoming release for the distant future! However there are some things that are already available to view right now.

Compilations now available on site!

The first one is that I've added the compilations to the site, so you can now straight get them from instead of being redirected to another store, this also is a good base to test out the future tutorials that we plan to release here!

New podcast episode!

A new episode of the podcast went live this week, we spent our time talking about the Unreal Engine 5 Announcement and much more, I mean the thumbnail says it all basically.
So head on over and share this episode with your friends if you liked it, and let us know what you think about it too!

Essential Rock Creation Techniques

Daniel starts by sharing his sculpting workflow and brushes in ZBrush, followed by low poly, UVs, and map baking.

Creating Modular Environments in Unreal Engine 4

This video breaks down how you can use a few simple pieces built in 3ds max to quickly flesh out modular environments in unreal engine 4.

ACES LUT For Substance Painter

ACES LUT is a viewport modification for Substance Painter that will act as a closer match to Unreal Engine's rendering.

Linus Scheffel
LeMat Revolver

This week's vote was pretty close, but Linus Scheffel made it to the top of the vote!Focusing mainly on weapons this was a favourite of mine and might deviate a bit from the focus we normally have from Environment Art.

I really like the presentation and all the details that are embedded in the engraving on these revolvers specifically, there is always a part of me that really loves to see these really detailed meshes and just the attention to it too. It's just an artpiece onto itself, so thanks so much for these beautiful pieces, also if you are looking at this and are impressed, make sure to check out all the other assets he did too!

Thanks so much for showing your work and inspiring Weapon Artists out there!

All right people! That's going to do it for me for this week, I'll catch you in the next one!If you like these posts or if the tips are useful consider supporting me on Patreon and join all these other lovely people in getting access to the full Tips and Tricks compilation on:
