Your role as the organiser in a team comes with a few extra responsibilities, acting as the person organising and managing the team. This means that you will be paying extra attention to how people feel within a team, if there are opportunities for people to help each other and foster a collaborative and creative experience.
The most successful way of doing this is to listen, ask questions as suggest solutions, you're role is as support for the team, not to be the ones that decides everything. Patience and empathy are crucial here, and if there are moment that you feel out of your depth, let the community builder team know!
In the next sections we're going to explore what these extra things mean in depth.
Checking in with people can often times feel like you are adding additional pressure, but just make sure that you reinforce that you are there to help and keep things moving, rather then being an annoying producer that's just constantly breathing down someone's neck.
An example could be something like this sentence:
"Hi X, how's it going? I was wondering if you have an update on the items you're working on or if there is something that I can help with?"
This opening can then be used to pivot into helping them with a certain workflow,
We require you an organiser to setup a meeting at least once a week and maybe more if the team requires you too. Which we do really recommend, especially in the first week or when there is a lot to discuss or progress seems stiff.
You're also responsible for setting up the milestone meetings, which require a little coordination with the team and can be booked directly from your MIRO board.
There is dedicated space on your MIRO board that will allow you to submit all the images and deliverables.
Apart from the final deliverables which will need to submitted to us in a ZIP file, for which the information can be found here.
Your last responsibility is to organise all the information in the MIRO board, so that it keeps a good overview for anyone that want to visit it.
TIP: Use the painting feature in MIRO for visual feedback!
