Evening people! It was ridiculously hot this week! And no AC in a room full of computers isn't helping the cause at all. Although it was this warm I had a super nice weekend of focusing on art which was a long time ago since I did that for a full day, and it felt awesome! This extended weekend I will be spending in Barcelona, I'm excited to see what the city has to offer in terms of architecture and ofcourse I'm looking forward to chilling out for a bit! :DFeatured artwork galleryJust a small little thing on the side, but I wanted to add it anyways. I made use of the collection system that Artstation has to make a collection for all the amazing pieces of art that I include each week in my blog post as a way to show the artists that they work they do is awesome in a more permanent way than just in a blog post. This collection can be found here. Mentorship open slotThere are still some open slots available if you are looking for an environment art mentorship, if you decide to signup we will have an introduction call and see how we can progress from that point. Also, if you signup and you decide you can't make it you can still back out for free until the first day of the mentorship (the money will be taken from your account on the start of a new month, not on signup)Head over to my Patreon to sign-up:https://www.patreon.com/TimothyDries Looking forward to having you around!,Let's dive into the art stuff! First off I had a lot of fun experimenting with blender's sculpting mode which is actually kind of intuitive, and I like that I don't have to switch between programs to get some nice sculpted details in there.Another thing I noticed was that after last weeks post, I wasn't really too keen on having these boring looking hydrophonic racks in the middle of the scene and basically destroyed the mood and frame of my work, so I decided to go with something more mysterious which was always my original plan to begin with. To do this I added some floating rocks that have plants growing out of them, embedding this more in reality is still something that I need to do.
