Evening People! This week has been back to my normal busy routine! Catching up with some of the work that needed to be done last week and a bunch of other stuff such as helping some new people out too! There have been some later evenings with that to compensate from my end for this too, but feeling super good to be back at work, because weirdly enough I missed it! :DTips about foliageWith all the foliage stuff that I'm doing in blender right now I got the question to do some breakdowns on how I approach them, so I have already prepared some stuff for this and will be coming with the weekly tips from next week on, so keep your eye out for them :D Also, this made me look back at the foliage breakdown that I did a long while back and has me thinking about revamping that tutorial and expanding on that more at some point. But I still need to finish the other ones I got lined up first!,Still, there was plenty of time to work on some of the foliage this week and I mainly worked on the Hosta plant using particle systems to handle the actual creation of the full bushes instead of doing it manually and rotating them one by one. This will also be the stuff I will add as a weekly tip from next week on trying to explain these different ways on how to scatter and make these bits of foliage. It was actually super fun building textures again (it's been a while I know) but I had fun making these for the Hosta and experimenting with a look that makes them look a little wet from all the moisture in the air inside of the greenhouse. This is still work in progress as I feel need to push that feeling further! Then lastly I had some fun making the ferns inside of Blender, starting with the highpoly leaves that I than scattered around a curve using the array modifier and baked down onto a flat plane which I then used to cut my lowpoly meshes out off. Hopefully I can break this down in the coming weeks in the weekly tips so you can start making your own foliage assets too!
