Hope you are all doing well out there, I'm doing really good myself, writing this on the last day of my little holiday I had from the end of last week, spending a lot of time exploring the city, going out whenever possible and also playing some games too! But there are also some exciting new things in the works, I can't not work during holidays, right?!New podcast episodeFirst off all we got a new podcast episode out where we talk about playing games as a developer our-self and the little thing that you are going to notice once you start looking through your developer glasses.Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5HNepMxxVoSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2ZdDM510vc27cDyQhPxPIoFuture planning! So I've been slowly but surely working on some larger plans for something bigger, it's always been a really exciting thing to plan out a more structured set of tutorials that will take you all the way from start to finish when creating your own environment, but don't want to reveal too much of this plan yet.For two main reasons, first one is that I still need to do loads more planning and writing and secondly because I want to remain a bit flexible too. However the last thing I want to add here is that if you know someone that might be interested in doing tutorials feel free to reach out on timothydries@beyondextent.com!New monthly challengeNow onto something new that will be appearing here on the blog, and this are the reveals of the community challenges, these are challenges specifically created to get people to learn specific skills or expand on them, so for this month, we will be focusing on Foliage (plants), and I'm excited to see what the people come up with for this one!If you want to join in for these challenges you can always pop into our discord server through our Patreon and get access to more files to get you started on this challenge!Community section on the websitehttps://www.beyondextent.com/communityNow probably for the biggest visual addition to this week's update is a new tab on the website. A tab specifically focusing on the community itself, shining a light on the people within it and al well as sharing some lovely words about the community their in.Just as a sidenote, I'm really glad that I started this journey of creating a community almost two years ago now and I'm so glad to see all the people posting their work, sharing ideas and being super supportive... this is awesome and I want to thank each and everyone of you for being here, and this includes anyone that has supporter me throughout all these years!‍,
